SAGMEISTER'S DARWIN CHAIR
Graphic design heavyweight Stefan Sagmeister presented a chair with 200 patterns at Design Miami/Basel last week.
Called 'Darwin Chair', the piece for Dutch collective Droog is covered in 200 sheets of paper each with a different print.
The top sheet can be removed and discarded each time it becomes worn, or when you want it to simply blend in with it's surroundings.
'All sheets are printed with intricate patterns abstracting the creation of the universe, making their way through the creation of the world, the beginning of plant, animal and human life, all the way to the digital revolution.'
It reminds me of those carpet sample books we used to have lying around the house all the time, but obviously on a bigger, sexier and more comfortable scale.

WASHED OUT & SMALL BLACK
These are afew shots i took when me and Aimee went to see Washed Out perform during Dot to Dot in Nottingham afew weeks back. Small black supported Washed Out onstage and pulled off a great set that was full of blissful summer-esque songs. I was hoping to get some snaps of all the bands we saw that day, but I was refused entry to other venues without a photopass. Bastards!

THOMAS NEULINGER
'Illustrator Thomas Neulinger brings Modernism to archived images by creating collage-like posters, featuring the likes of Icarus and Darwin. His use of black and white demonstrates his affinity for shadows and the drama created by high contrast, while his geometric line-work highlights the balance and symmetry of his designs.'
